The Commodore C64 was presented to the public in 1982. With over 17 million sold it is the most popular home computer of all time! It became the dominant gameplatform of the 80's
and rang in the era of the private home computer. Equipped with its own specially developed synthisizer chip, the SID (Sound Interface Device) it spawned a raging new music scene amongst the Computer-Kidz. With compositions stemming from games released between 1984 to 1989, INPUT64 offers an introduction to the wonderful and endless world of C64-Music. This compilation presents some
of the most well-known game tunes and a selection of music favorites. Break-orgies such as "BMX Kidz" or "Turbo Outrun" are followed by symphonic-pop-hits like "Crazy Comets"
or "Bubble Bubble". Homecomputer-Punk (One Man and his Droid, Arkanoid) meets psychodelic 8-bit walls (Yie Ar Kung Fu) and minimalistic soundgames (Boulder Dash) All tracks have one thing in common: the one-of-a-kind and characteristic 8-Bit SID-Chip sound, which, with its penetrating raw sound, has remained popular in elektronic musik through today.
